Dear Alex and Stan,

We have been very interested in your paper "Nucleosynthesis and
evolution of massive metal-free stars".
In the paper Cayrel et al. 2004 the NLTE effects in the resonnance lines
of Na and Al had been taken into account only in a very crude way. The
correct NLTE determination of the abundance of these elements (star by
star) has been done recently with the help of S. Andrievsky.

The new mean values (for [Fe/H]<-3) are
   [Na/Mg]=-0.45+-0.16
   [Al/Mg]=-0.32+-0.14

see:
-NLTE determination of the sodium abundance in a homogeneous sample of
extremely metal-poor stars 2007, AA 464, 1081
-NLTE determination of the aluminum abundance in a homogeneous sample of
extremely metal-poor stars 2008, AA 481, 481

This new abundance of sodium in now completely compatible with your
results.
Unfortunately we have no explanation for chromium...

Best wishes
Monique Spite
Dear Alexander,

Since the 2004 paper we did not change the solar abundances we used (to
keep an homogeneity between the different papers).
they are
C 8.52
N 7.92
O 8.77 (without 3D correction and only 8.69 when we have applied an
approximated 3D correction)
Na 6.33
Mg 7.58
Al 6.47
Si 7.55
S 7.33
K 5.12
Ca 6.36
Sc 3.17
Ti 5.02
Cr 5.67
Mn 5.39
Fe 7.50
Co 4.92
Ni 6.25
Zn 4.60
These abundances correspond to Grevesse and Sauval 1998 (Space Sci. Rev.
85, 161).
Unfortunately this reference has been forgotten in Cayrel et al. (2004-
First Stars V) but you could find it in Spite et al. (First Stars VI, 2005)
With myt best regards,
Monique
